Girl with cerebral palsy takes her first unaided steps in viral video
A heartwarming video of a girl with cerebral palsy taking her first steps without the aid of her walker or leg braces is going viral on Facebook.
The special moment, which took place on Friday afternoon, was caught on camera by the 6-year-old’s mother, Lovely Janae, who shared it with friends on social media. Now, the video has been viewed over 36,000 times by people who are inspired by the little girl named Love and her incredible ambition.
“My hero is not someone older than me,” Janae captioned the video post of her daughter successfully making her way across the living room, “it's my 6 year old princess.”
The little girl was accompanied by her younger brother, who excitedly followed behind her. “Oh my God,” the 6-year-old girl is heard exclaiming before she reaches the couch. Then her mom is heard saying, “That is amazing.”
“There is no stopping her now,” one person commented on the post. “I just love the look on her face when she realized what she had done. God Bless.”
“I love how baby bro is right there along for the stroll. Not even understanding how much he’s probably motivating her,” another wrote.
Some even noted that they had watched the video 20 times over. Janae re-posted the video on Sunday with the caption, “I’m so proud of my baby. She proved that anything is possible.”
