Girls in Unity Field Day headed to Augusta’s Carrie J. Mays Park
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) — An event meant to bring together girls for a day of fun and unity is happening this month.
The Girls in Unity Field Day Old School vs. New School will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on June 22 at Carrie Mays Park Community Center. It’s being put on by nonprofits Because Butterflies Are Blue and Precious Pros Mentoring. The Field Day will blend old school and new school activities, like the three-legged race and double Dutch jump rope, to show girls the value of unity and having fun together. It’s a free but though donations are welcomed.
Open to all girl groups, programs, and organizations.
