Gisele Bündchen Addresses Rumors She Cheated on Tom Brady

Gisele Bündchen wants the truth known about her split from her ex-husband, Tom Brady.

The Brazilian supermodel was married to the NFL star for 13 years before their divorce in 2022. She later moved on with current boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, but has found herself at the center of rumors that she cheated on Brady, 46, before their marriage ended.

Bündchen, 43, sat down for an interview with the New York Times published Saturday, March 23, during which she directly addressed the rumors of an affair with Valente, a jiu-jitsu trainer she has worked with for years.

"That is a lie," she said after being asked about the affair rumors. "This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful."

“They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family," the former Victoria's Secret Angel continued. "Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified."

Bündchen and Brady—who tied the knot in 2009—now co-parent their two children: son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11. The legendary quarterback also has a 16-year-old son Jack, whom he shares with his ex, Bridget Moynahan.

While she adamantly shut down the affair rumors, Bündchen remained tight-lipped about why things did not work out with the seven-time Super Bowl winner.

"No one really knows what happens between two people, only the two people in the relationship," she stated, intentionally keeping things vague.

But as for her relationship with Valente, Bündchen was not afraid to open up, telling the publication, "This is the first time I am seeing someone that was a friend of mine first."

"It's very different. It is very honest, and it's very transparent," she said of her new love life with Valente, who is also from Brazil.
