Gisele Bündchen Officially Files for Divorce From Tom Brady
The two have finalized their separation agreement.
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have officially called it quits, according to new court filings obtained by TMZ.
According to the outlet, the supermodel, 42, filed the documents earlier today, Oct. 28, but Brady, 45, is not contesting the divorce. Both shared statements via Instagram Stories, which TMZ also obtained screenshots of, indicating that their separation is amicable.
The couple's divorce lawyers were reportedly ironing out their divorce settlement—involving property division and custody of their two kids—throughout the last month; however, that documentation is said to remain confidential.
Bündchen admitted that, while the decision to separate was not an easy one to make, the two had grown apart. "...while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always," she said, before requesting privacy and respect for the family during the "sensitive time."
Brady added that they took "much consideration" in coming to their decision and that the two "wish only the best for each other."
The duo emphasized their commitment to co-parenting their two children—Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, as well. Brady wrote, "[They] will continue to be the center of our world in every way," while Bündchen said, "My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart."
