Gisele Bündchen Reveals How She Found Out Tom Brady's Ex Was Pregnant
Gisele Bündchen is known for being private about her family life and marriage to husband Tom Brady. But with the release of her new memoir Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, the supermodel has opened up about the events of her life, from the boob job she regrets to having panic attacks during her career. She also wrote about her wedding with Brady, and even delved into how she found out about his ex's pregnancy.
As E! News reports, Bündchen wrote in her book she met the NFL star on a blind date in December 2006, and they bonded over their mutual love of family. They both agreed to delay starting a family of their own as both of their careers were in "high gear" at the time.
However, two months into their relationship, Brady told her that actress and model Bridget Moynahan, his ex-girlfriend of two years, was pregnant with his baby.
"I felt my world had been turned upside down. Needless to say, that wasn't an easy time. But it was a time that brought about so much growth," Bündchen wrote, although she never mentioned Moynahan by name.
Jack, Brady and Moynahan's son, was born in August 2007, and Bündchen called him "a huge gift and a blessing," and says that his arrival sped up her own family planning, since they wanted Jack to have siblings closer to his age.
"With Jack in our lives, our priorities definitely started to shift," she wrote. "I wanted to be there for Jack and Tom, and do whatever I could to create stability in their lives, and help them to have a close relationship."
Bündchen and Brady got married in April 2009 and welcomed son Benjamin in December that year. Their daughter Violet was born in 2012. But adjusting to marriage, motherhood, and a new city was hard for her, and she said she felt "depressed" and "overwhelmed."
She eventually was able to balance her career and motherhood, but she often rejects modeling jobs if she needs to. "Either Tom has a big game, or Benny has a play at school, or maybe Jack will be with us for the weekend, or Vivi has a bad cough," she wrote. "For whatever reason, the scheduling doesn't always work... My family comes first."
