Gisele Bündchen Wears Nothing but a Knit Blanket as a Cape in Stunning New Photo

Gisele Bündchen is kicking off the new year with a series of stunning photos taken during a recent magazine photoshoot.
Harper’s Bazaar announced on Wednesday that Bündchen is the cover model for the fashion magazine’s February 2024 “Joy Issue.” Photos shared on social media by the magazine and Bündchen show her posing in several glamorous outfits.
The first of nine photos that Bündchen shared Wednesday on Instagram show her wearing what looks like a knitted taupe blanket that’s draped over her shoulders and trails all the way down to her sandals-clad feet. The magazine identifies the piece in its interview with the supermodel as a cape designed by the Spanish fashion company Loewe.
Two large buttons hold the cape closed over Bündchen’s chest. Beneath the cape, the only other piece of clothing she’s wearing is a pair of black Matteau briefs.
Other photos Bündchen shared on social media show her posing in a flowing Ferragamo blouse, a white JW Anderson wrap dress and a gauzy Victoria Beckham gown. Bündchen’s skin was dusted in gold for some of the snapshots, including a photo in which she wears a purple Rick Owens cape. In another, the camera focuses solely on her face and neck, her glittery skin matching a Van Cleef & Arpels Jersey necklace.
Bündchen’s appearance on the magazine’s February cover comes a little over a year after her divorce from former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Bündchen spoke about growing “apart” from Brady during an October 2023 interview with CBS News Sunday Morning's Lee Cowan. She spoke more generally about her public image during her interview with Harper’s, telling the magazine that she “can’t really worry about what other people say about me because what they say about me is none of my business.”
“If I’m going to be affected by that,” she added, “I’m never going to live my truth.”
