Glen Powell’s Next Project Will Be a “Raucous Revenge Thriller”
Glen Powell is getting his moment to shine after the recent success of Anyone But You and the news of a release date for the film he co-wrote with Richard Linklater, Hit Man.
Everyone seems to be loving what Glen Powell is offering, and his next project has been revealed by Deadline to be a thriller with the title Huntington from director John Patton Ford.
From Studiocanal and Blueprint with Participant as co-financier, the film is being described as a "raucous revenge thriller", which features Powell as the heir to a multi-billion-dollar fortune who will stop at nothing to get what he thinks he deserves.
Patton Ford's script is said to be inspired by the 1949 film Kind Hearts and Coronets, which starred Dennis Price, Alec Guinness, Valerie Hobson, Joan Greenwood, Audrey Fildes, Clive Morton and Miles Malleson.
Deadline also says A24 is close to finalizing a domestic deal but that it is still yet to be confirmed.
Patton Ford said, "I feel tremendously privileged to make this film with Studiocanal, Blueprint Pictures and Participant. It speaks volumes about these companies that they have chosen to make an original and progressive movie such as this. And Glen Powell is the icing on the cake."
