Golden Globes 2018: the Statuette for Best Supporting TV Actress Goes to Laura Dern

They may not be the leading ladies, but this year’s supporting actress nominees were all the rage.

So it’s no surprise Laura Dern went home with the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her role in Big Little Lies at tonight’s 75th annual ceremony.

The actress beat out Ann Dowd from The Handmaid’s Tale, Chrissy Metz from This Is Us, Michelle Pfeiffer from The Wizard of Lies and Shailene Woodley from Big Little Lies.

The 2018 Academy Awards just got a whole lot more interesting.
