Golden Joystick Awards 2017 | Last chance to vote for your favourite video games of the year
The 35th Golden Joystick Awards take place on November 17 and today is the final chance to have your say in deciding the best video games of the year. Voting closes at midnight tonight for all categories, so get yourself to the voting page to make your choice for everything from best Visual Design to your favourite YouTuber of the last twelve months.
The Golden Joystick Awards are a long-running fixture in the gaming calendar, a British award show that recognises the best games of the past year in a number of categories. They can range from Best Storytelling to the Ultimate Game of the Year, with the awards entirely decided by public vote. The nominees were announced some time ago, with rewards given for those that vote.
This year you can get a free ebook for taking the time to vote, with the choice of Edge Magazine's 'The 100 Greatest Videogames', 'The PlayStation Book, 2nd Edition', PC Gamer's 'The Best PC Games Ever', 'Nintendo Switch', 'The Ultimate Guide to Minecraft vol. 20', or 'The Retro Gamer Book of Arcade Classics, 2nd Edition'. As well as your vote counting towards making some lucky developer's night.
This year, the event is being held at the Bloomsbury Big Top, and is being hosted by Danny Wallace. It will be live-streamed online, with both the main event and a pre-show featuring interviews with nominees and winners. Last year, it was livestreamed on the GamesRadar YouTube channel.
The full list of nominees are below the spiff Golden Joysticks graphic and voting closes at midnight tonight (3 November).
