'The Good Doctor' Sets Glassman Up for an Unexpected Romance
'The Good Doctor'
This week's The Good Doctor, appropriately titled "Date Night," focused on new parents Shaun and Lea and Reznick and Park as they attempted to keep their spark alive despite the demands of new parenthood. But by the end of the hour, the only doctor getting a proper night out on the town was Dr. Glassman. His unexpected date for the evening? Dr. Lim's mother, who was in San Jose for a drug trial (but really to check in on her overworked daughter).

The two didn't exactly mean to go out on a date—Glassman struck a deal with Lim that if she attended two board meetings without him, he'd take her mother shopping on her behalf. But intentional or not, they developed a rapport that was relaxed, easy and quietly intimate (Glassman even opened up about his daughter's death). Their walk-and-talk seamlessly turned to dinner (crepes from a food truck) and the whole turn of events begged the question, Is there a new love interest in Glassman's life?
The exact nature of his budding relationship remains to be seen (it's not like we saw him go in for a goodnight kiss or anything). But should Glassman strike up a romance with Lim's mom, as the show seems to be hinting he might, that could set his character up for the blissful retirement he deserves while also assuring fans that he'll never be too far away from his St. Bonaventure family. Plus, it'll allow him and Lim to do what they do best: bicker like father and daughter.
Tune in Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC to find out whether love is really in the air.
