The GT3000 is a charge-it-and-forget-it device, able to "stand by" for up to 24 months, according to Gooloo. That means you're unlikely to discover that your jump-starter's battery is as dead as your car battery. However, it doesn't come with an AC adapter, so you'll need to supply your own or charge it using your car's power port. (It does include an adapter for that.)

What I love about this is the simplicity: Connect the red and black cables to your car battery's terminals, wait for the GT3000's display to show "ready," then start the car. This not only takes the guesswork out of it but also provides a safer solution than traditional jumper cables. (I'm always convinced I'm going to blow up both cars.)
