Gordon Ramsay Launches Frozen Meal Line Featuring His Favorite Comfort Foods
Fans of Gordon Ramsay's various TV shows won't have to break the bank by going to one of his restaurants to try his cooking.
People reports that the celebrity chef is releasing his first-ever line of frozen meals: By Chef Ramsay. The meals, which will retail exclusively at Walmart, feature elevated twists on beloved comfort foods, including chicken pot pie, bolognese lasagna, shepherd's pie, mushroom risotto, lemon caper chicken, four cheese macaroni, slow-roasted beef, and fish and chips.
"I'm elated to bring my favorite dishes into homes across the country," said the MasterChef judge. "It thrills me that these dishes are so widely available for anyone to experience, and I hope they inspire the home chef in everyone."
He added that each of the dishes he selected for this line "represent a special part of my personal culinary journey."
People also shared details on some of the dishes' delicious ingredients. The lasagna will appeal to any cheese fan, featuring four different ones: ricotta, Parmesan, Romano, and mozzarella. Speaking of cheese, the four cheese macaroni is made with mozzarella, fontina, Parmesan, and provolone, topped with cornbread crumbs. Yum!
The eight frozen meals are now available at Walmart locations nationwide. Each one retails for $5.94, according to Walmart's site, which additionally notes that delivery is available for the items.
Getting a chance to taste Ramsay's dishes comes at a perfect time, as his hit TV show Kitchen Nightmares makes its return on Sept. 25 at Fox after being off-air for 9 years.
