This Gorgeous Palm Springs Hotel Is Officially The Most Perfect Place For Desert Weddings

Welcome to Casa Cody, a cluster of bungalows in the heart of downtown Palm Springs that might as well be called Casa Paradise.

With not one but two pools, curtains of bougainvillea, and breathtaking mountain views, stepping onto the property is like an instant escape.

The hotel has a feminist history, it was founded in the 1920s by desert pioneer woman Harriet Cody.

Harriet initially created Casa Cody as a livery stable for horses, but after her husband died, she bought four more cottages and became an innkeeper to support herself. (If that's not resilience, I don't know what is!)

Harriet opened Casa Cody's doors back in 1924, making it the oldest operating hotel in the desert — but a new owner recently gave the hotel a complete renovation to bring it up to 21st century standards without sacrificing any charm.

The hotel is unique because it's all one level and features several standalone cottages. Chic poolside lounge chairs? Perfect for a vacation photoshoot flex.

Even the rooms with adjoining walls are bungalow-style, and all of them are located on the ground floor within the gated property.

Once indoors, the attention to detail is pretty incredible, too.

But the best part is the private, beautiful grounds, which easily transform into an idyllic location for weddings.

During a recent visit to the newly reopened property, all I could do was imagine hosting a casual-chic desert wedding. It might look something like this:

Tell me this isn't the best place to begin a new life together? Or at least celebrate a very special occasion.

Did I mention it's only three blocks from the downtown strip of bars and restaurants?

Now that travel is opening back up, check out Casa Cody for a safely-distanced experience where the bulk of the property is outdoors. And if you're on the hunt for a wedding venue, well it might just fit the bill for that, too.

The new owners, Casetta Group, are also a women-led company. So every time you visit, you'll still be supporting a women-owned business — and those are few and far between in the hospitality industry.

Now, Casa Cody is a nod to Harriet's legacy and another way to show support with your dollar. Book your dream trip here.
