From Country Living

Grace and Frankie is unlike any other show on TV. Its star-studded cast, laugh-out-loud jokes, and relatable takes on how to handle the ups and downs of life will keep you binge-watching well into the wee hours of the morning.

The leaders of the show are Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, who play Grace and Frankie, respectively. When it first began, Grace and Frankie was primarily about two women whose lives are turned upside-down when their husbands reveal they’re romantically involved with each other. But now, it’s evolved into a charming story about age, marriage, family, and, of course, friendship, with a success that not even Jane and Lily could have predicted.

“We thought, ‘We’re just two old broads and they’ll laugh us out,’” Lily told Ellen DeGeneres.

But obviously the opposite has happened, as fans are nowhere near done with the funny leading ladies. Here’s everything to know about the upcoming season of the show.

Is Grace and Frankie cancelled?

No! The Netflix powers that be have smiled upon on us and renewed the hilarious heartfelt comedy for a sixth season. If you haven't yet watched, we suggest you cancel your weekend plans ASAP.

When is Grace and Frankie coming back?

According to Variety, we’ll have to wait until 2020 to see the duo return to Netflix. Season 5 premiered in January 2019, so it’s possible they will roll out the next episodes around the same time.

Who are some of the other cast members?

Besides Jane and Lily, Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, Brooklyn Decker, June Diane Raphael, Ethan Embry, and Baron Vaughn star in the series.

Co-creator and executive producer Marta Kauffman also revealed that Ernie Hudson, who played Lily’s love interest Jacob, will also reappear in season 6. Mary Steenburgen will return, as well, and Deadline even hinted Lily and Jane’s 9 to 5 pal, Dolly Parton, might stop by!

There’s nothing more heartbreaking than to discover your favorite TV BFFs are actually enemies in real life. Thankfully, that is not the case with Jane and Lily. The pair have been friends since meeting on 9 to 5. During their decades-long relationship, they’ve worked side-by-side, volunteered together, and even led a TED talk on female friendship.

"I have loved her since the moment I saw her," Jane said. Ultimate gal pal goals? Absolutely.
