Great American Family Kicks Off 2024 With 'County Rescue'
Great American Family, the upstart network headed by former Hallmark Channel CEO Bill Abbott, sets its sights high for 2024. With hopes of becoming, well, the next Hallmark Channel, Great American Family is on its way. The network has a full slate of original Christmas movies and picked up the Kitten Bowl (now called the Great American Rescue Bowl) after it was canceled by Hallmark. With plans for a record number of new original movies in 2024, Great American Family has also announced its first new original series, County Rescue. What is County Rescue about?
In Great American Family's new medical drama, Dani (Julia Reilly) and the other EMTs in training are courageous, everyday heroes. With only one opening and three paramedic trainees, Dani’s faith in herself is tested on each and every call. She believes her calling is to save lives. Now, she has to prove it. Her competition? The fire chief's impulsive son and an over-qualified rookie.
What makes County Rescue different from other medical dramas?
There are almost too many medical dramas to count for fans of the genre: Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, The Good Doctor, Sky Med and Nurses among others. County Rescue distinguishes itself from others by adding an element of faith. The series lead, Dani, believes becoming an EMT is her divine calling, and the pilot includes a scene where Dani prays with a patient she is treating in the field.

When does County Rescue premiere?
County Rescue premieres on Great American Pure Flix on Friday, Feb. 16 followed by the broadcast premiere on Great American Family on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes will be broadcast weekly on Great American Family on Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET (with episodes dropping on the streamer on the Friday before).
