The Great Pumpkin Farm opens for its 29th season Saturday

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — With the warm weather lately, it might be hard to believe that fall is right around the corner. The Great Pumpkin Farm is opening up this weekend for its 29th season, for people of all ages to come enjoy the fall festivities, whenever they’re ready.

Benjamin Schultz, the chief operating officer for the farm’s father started the farm back in 1996. Schultz says his dad started to grow some pumpkins and decided to set up bleachers to sell them. Years later, he says the farm has become more of an event, and they now get tens of thousands of pumpkins every year from local farmers.

“It’s unbelievable, we’re all super proud that this is what it’s turned into,” said Schultz.

They have family fun activities, a slide, petting zoo, magic shows, and more, including this year, they’ve added an indoor playground to the grounds.

They will be open everyday from Sept. 14 until Halloween, and will have their Fall Festival activities available on the weekends for $18 admission (kids ages 2 and under are free).
