BELLEVUE — A new sports bar restaurant opened this week in the Green Bay area.

Isaac's Sports Bar & Grill, 1671 Hoffman Road in Bellevue, took over the former space of The Back Nine Pizza & Pub last month. Isaac Beirne, owner of the restaurant, said he purchased his first bar three years ago in New Holstein —about 50 minutes south — and wants to replicate in greater Green Bay the success he's had in New Holstein.

New Holstein, in Calumet County, is a small community and Beirne said at that location, they offer many activities, such as birthday parties, live events and fundraisers.

"This helped us become a local favorite," he said.

He is new in the Green Bay area, so he said he will have to wait and see what works and what doesn't at the new location.

"We'll see how the summer goes," he said.

The restaurant shares the space with NextGen Golf, which offers five golf simulators for customers to play and practice. Beirne said they have a partnership and will continue to offer this entertainment option combined with food and drinks.

He made some minor changes inside the restaurant and will change the signs outside. But what will make the biggest difference is the menu, he said, which will be "elevated" bar restaurant food.

"We have a very skilled chef," he said. "It's bar food but better bar food."

Beirne said they have a popular $5 cheeseburger with fries special every Thursday and a fish fry every Friday. They also offer many discounts throughout the year. Other items in the menu include chicken wings, wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, soups, salads and pizza.

"We have a commitment to fast, quality food with personable and efficient service," Beirne said.

Hours of operation at Isaac's Sports Bar & Grill are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. During football season, there may be some changes to the opening hours.
