These Guys Built a Tandem Snowboard and It Worked Surprisingly Well

I have seen people attempt tandem snowboarding before but I haven’t seen a tandem snowboard, as in one that was built with four bindings and enough space for two grown humans to strap in side-by-side.

I have questions. Getting off the chairlift is guaranteed chaos, right?

Can this be done successfully if one rider is switch and the other rides regular? Now that would be a really painful chairlift ride for one of them, wouldn’t it? Honestly, make that work and I’ll be even more impressed than I already am.

Who decides when it’s the last run of the day?

Do you just play rock-paper-scissors after every chair to decide which trail you’re going to take?

And is it “rock, paper, scissors, then go” or do you go on “scissors”?

Best two out of three, obviously. That’s not even a question. And honestly, if you think we’re not playing best two out of three each time then I don’t think I even want to tandem snowboard with you.

These guys pulled it off. Spring in Mammoth is the best.
