Gwen Stefani shares ab-baring selfie as she thanks Blake Shelton 'for giving me an excuse' to wear cowboy boots
There's no doubt that Blake Shelton has had an influence on Gwen Stefani's style.
On Saturday, the pop star, 52, posted a seflie which credited her country crooner husband for inspiring her to purchase a pair of cowboy boots. Adding a touch of California girl cool to her country chic look, Stefani paired the brown leather Dsquared2 boots with a red flannel jacket, cropped black bustier and denim hot pants worn over black fishnet stockings.
"Thank u @blakeshelton for giving me an excuse to buy these @dsquared2 cowboy boots," the GXVE Beauty founder captioned her series of sultry selfies.
According to her Instagram Stories, Stefani was all dolled up to see Shelton, 45, in concert in San Diego, during which she also appeared on-stage. Her behind-the-scenes footage of the show — which she dubbed "date night" — includes a shot of her spouse and former Voice co-star pulling off her boots on the ride home.
Though Shelton, whose latest Instagram post sees him wearing camo and a trucker hat while doing farmwork, hasn't picked up many fashion cues from his wife, he did pay special tribute to her earlier in the week. The country star posted a photo collage celebrating Stefani, whom he wed last July on his Oklahoma ranch.
In an interview with Stellar last spring, the No Doubt frontwoman and mom of three opened up about aging and the impact finding love again after her divorce from singer Gavin Rossdale has had.
"Blake is the greatest guy," she told the outlet. "I look back over the past few years and look at pictures of when I first started kissing Blake, and I look the best I’ve ever looked in my life in those photos. Love must look good on me. I feel like that does show through — it really does."
