Gwyneth Paltrow Explains Why She Doesn’t Live With Her Husband Brad Falchuk
Gwyneth Paltrow has never been one for conventional. From her conscious uncoupling with ex-husband Chris Martin to her unusual living arrangement with her new husband Brad Falchuk, Paltrow has her own way of operating-and it seems to be working for her.
In a new interview with The Sunday Times, the actress and Goop mogul revealed that she and Falchuk don’t live together full time, explaining that he stays with her four nights a week before going back to his own home.
“Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” she said.
Paltrow also added that she’s discussed the situation with her intimacy teacher Michaela Boehm, who gave her stamp of approval, saying that it helps give “polarity” to the relationship.
Paltrow also discusses her friendship with her ex-husband, who joined her and Falchuk on a vacation to the Maldives over the Christmas holiday to celebrate their new marriage.
“Well, of course,” she said about inviting her ex on her “family honeymoon.” “Chris is family and Brad and he, they’re like, totally friends.”
She also praised Martin’s new girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, saying that she’s “a fantastic woman” and “I adore her.”
While Paltrow’s set-up may not work for everyone, it’s clearly working for her. The 46-year-old is loving being in her 40s, despite what everyone else told her.
“It’s funny, I remember when I turned 40, interviewers going, ‘Oh my God, you’re 40! What does that mean?’ as if I was ready for the old people’s home. And yet, these last six years have been the most profoundly awakening years of my life.”
