Gwyneth Paltrow Just Rebranded the Naked Dress at the Golden Globes
Gwyneth Paltrow wears Fendi to the 2020 Golden Globes.
Paltrow attends the awards for the nominated series, The Politician, which she executive produced and stars in.
The Politician was co-created by Paltrow's husband, Brad Falchuk.
Gwyneth Paltrow is a branding genius. She's branded cookbooks, gift guides, yoni eggs (yes, yoni eggs), and now—the naked dress.
The GOOP creator arrived at the 2020 Golden Globes in a sheer, tiered, pleated, tulle Fendi gown, which feels like the epitome of the latest runways' version of sexy—sheer romance—with a dark side. The look not only highlights one of our favorite trends from head to toe, but felt like a red carpet departure for Paltrow, who often chooses body-con, structured silhouettes for key appearances. With that in mind, sheer and sexy is not outside Paltrow's repertoire.
The actress is known for her enviable physique (which she achieves through all the exercise she maps out on GOOP, no doubt), and her fearlessness to show it off; the star often opts for thigh-high slits, sheer silhouettes, and plunging necklines on the red carpet—and her fashion risks, especially her newly branded takes on sexy, rarely disappoint.
This Fendi look, however, feels more bohemian than we're used to seeing the star, who attended the Golden Globes for her role in The Politician, a Netflix series co-created by her husband, Brad Falchuk. Paired with a slew of otherworldly Bulgari jewels, the romantic ensemble was a fresh take for Paltrow, who admitted in her interview with E!'s Ryan Seacrest that she's "semi-retried from acting," choosing only roles that speak to her—or ones that her husband lovingly asks she take on—to give her time to focus on her ever-growing brand.
