Gwyneth Paltrow showed off her casual take on celebratory style this weekend.
On Friday, the star stepped out with her family for the high school graduation of her son Moses. She was joined by her mother, Blythe Danner, husband Brad Falchuk, daughter Apple Martin, and ex-husband Chris Martin. For the family affair, Paltrow opted for a laid back look of neutral tones and layered knits from her own G. Label. (See photos here).
The Goop founder achieved her effortless look with a dusty pink maxi dress that featured a cinched waist and flared skirt. To give the figure-hugging dress a more formal feel, Paltrow layered a chunky light brown cardigan on top, rolling up its ribbed sleeves to show off her rings. She added a luxe touch with a pair of brown platform sandals from The Row, as well as a chunky gold chain necklace with a matching gold heart pendant.
Meanwhile, her daughter Apple—who had her own high school graduation two years ago—brought her own sense of celebratory style. She wore a white halter dress with black polka dots from Réalisation Par, and layered with a black cardigan to keep warm. A pair of on-trend black sandal wedges and black rectangular sunglasses finished off her look.
While the mother-daughter duo didn’t coordinate outfits (this time), their dress-and-cardigan combos showed the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Both also wore their hair down in a middle part, unstyled, and opted to go makeup-free. Together, the two seemed to embody the chill style of coastal California.
