H&M Casts a Spell With ‘Wicked’ 12-piece Capsule Collection With Witch-inspired Styles
H&M is partnering with Universal Products and Experiences on a new capsule collection with a wicked sensibility. The fashion company’s new capsule collection, which features apparel inspired by the film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical “Wicked,” launches online and in select stores beginning Tuesday.
The capsule collection draws inspiration from the film’s leading ladies — Glinda, played by Ariana Grande, and Elphaba, played by Cynthia Erivo. The collection features 12 new apparel pieces, including a sharp-shouldered blazer, a dramatically draped dress and graphic sweatshirts and T-shirts.

Each piece of apparel is designed with a black color scheme, ideal for the witchy season ahead. Along with apparel, the capsule collection also features a few accessory selections, including a curvy handbag with an embossed “W” for “Wicked.”
Images from the campaign for the capsule collection feature the apparel and accessories set against a pink and green backdrop, the colors associated with Glinda and Elphaba.
Against the glowing backdrop, the apparel pieces stand out in their black hue and demonstrate their appeal and versatility. While the crewneck sweatshirt is ideal for casualwear, the draped dress can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.
Pieces for the collection can be worn on their own or styled for an elevated look, debuting as anticipation for the “Wicked” film adaptation grows. Both Grande and Erivo have taken to method dressing throughout the press tour for the film, with Grande in pink, feminine looks and Erivo opting for emerald green, edgy attire.
“Wicked” tells the origin story of the witches of Oz — Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West. Beginning as rivals, then friends during their school days, Glinda and Elphaba are confronted with the truth behind the Wizard of Oz. The film hits theaters Nov. 22.
