Hailey Bieber Opens Up About Competing With the Kardashian-Jenner Sisters

Hailey Bieber just showed some serious love and support for her longtime friends, the Kardashian and Jenner sisters.

The Rhode skincare founder got candid about beauty entrepreneurship in a conversation with The Wall Street Journal's Eric Schwartzel at the publication's WSJ Tech Live conference in California on October 24. Bieber opened up about competing with fellow businesswomen and close friends after an audience member asked how Hailey handles selling her skincare brand in a market filled with cosmetics created by reality television stars.

"There's space for everybody and I really do believe that," Hailey shared. Referencing the Kardashian and Jenner sisters, Bieber continued by saying "Those women are amazing and they're some of my closest friends and I really love all of their brands, and I would never not support their brands and cheer them on because they've also really done the same for me."

Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner each have their own skincare, makeup, or lifestyle brands, including SKKN by Kim, Lemme, and Kylie Cosmetics, respectively. Kylie has also collaborated with sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner as well as her mom Kris Jenner to create limited-edition launches. On October 13, the youngest Jenner even teased an upcoming guest star, Halloween-themed appearance on Hailey's Who's in my Bathroom YouTube series, further proving that there's lots of love between the two beauty moguls.

Hailey also took time during the interview to shout out the women whose own businesses gave her inspiration while embarking on her entrepreneurship journey. "[They're] people that have taken something where they were really passionate about the space or saw a white space they wanted to fill," she said of the Honest Company's founder Jessica Alba and Goop's founder Gwyneth Paltrow, who appeared on Bieber's Who's in My Bathroom in July.

Bieber added that when it comes to comparing her brand to competitors, she tries to be "mindful," reiterating that "there's space for everybody to succeed and thrive."
