From Prevention

  • Halle Berry, 54, just shared her go-to DIY face mask recipe, and it's super easy.

  • The basic mask is made of greek yogurt and honey, with optional additions.

  • Her face mask is rich in probiotics, which can help balance skin, and lactic acid.

Actress Halle Berry, 54, takes her skincare very seriously. She cleans her skin twice a day and drinks bone broth, and has dropped gems on her Instagram during her "Self Care Sunday" posts. In her latest one, she interviewed her esthetician, Olga Lorencin, and the beauty professional dropped a lot of tricks and secrets for how Halle gets her skin super glowy.

The first thing is that Halle exfoliates her skin "relentlessly and religiously. You have to make it a daily ritual." Besides using Olga's exfoliating facial kits and products (like her Ageless Facial In A Box by Olga Lorencin Skincare), Halle also swears by a homemade anti-inflammatory face mask, which she shared the recipe for.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Full-Fat Greek Yogurt (vegan option = coconut yogurt) ?

  • ?1 tsp Honey ?

  • ?For Dry Skin: Add a slice of avocado + a few drops of avocado oil?.

  • ?For Acneic Skin: Add a bit of powdered charcoal. ?

  • Optional: Add a few drops of liquid Chlorophyll to fight breakouts and reduce inflammation.

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients together into a bowl .

  2. Massage into clean skin, including your neck.

  3. Leave on for 15-20 minutes.

"This mask is rich in probiotics, which are very helpful with skin balancing and congestion. The honey is a natural humectant—it attracts water from the air to your skin," Halle wrote in the post. And the yogurt has lactic acid, which gently exfoliates and gets rid of dead skin cells.

According to Lorencin, for best results, relax in the bath or in a steamy shower for 5-10 minutes before rinsing it off.
