Halle Berry joins the third 'John Wick' film and still looks half her age
In recent surprising news, Halle Berry dropped word via Instagram that she will be joining the cast of the third John Wick flick. She revealed that the final chapter in the Keanu Reeves action franchise is set to open in theaters on May 17, 2019. What’s especially cool about this casting announcement is that the female lead (Berry) will be about as old the male lead: She is 51 and he is 53.
And equally notable about Berry: She manages to make 51 look like 31. But how? We’ve got answers in this week’s episode of “Off Season.”

We did some digging — on Instagram, of course — and found out how the movie star maintains her flawless figure. Over the past few months, she has been dedicating at least one Instagram post a week to sharing her workout and diet secrets with fans. She calls it #FitnessFriday.

In one of her posts, the actress shared that at 51 years old, she is in “the best shape of [her] life.” And that’s thanks to working out five times a week and sticking to a specific diet. Her workouts include boxing with trainer Peter Lee Thomas, as well as yoga, other cardio, and weights. Berry also follows a ketogenic diet, which consists of eating high-fat, low-carbohydrate foods. Not all of her fans know it, but Berry was diagnosed with diabetes at 19 years old, so health and fitness are a necessary part of her lifestyle.
Her social media posts not only break down her workouts and meals but also are super-inspiring: “I know it’s hard to focus up and dedicate time to working out … but with 24 hours in a day you can surely take ONE and dedicate it to YOU!” she wrote.
Berry also doesn’t think you need an expensive gym membership to get a good workout. In one of her #FitnessFriday posts, she said, “All you need is a living room, a patio, a kitchen floor, a driveway or a backyard, and a water bottle to kickstart the journey.”
Thanks for the fitspo, Halle!
