Hallmark Heads Into the New Year With a New Mystery
As the new year gets underway, fans of Hallmark mysteries can look forward to fresh new characters and stories. The first new mystery movie of 2024 is True Justice: Family Ties. If you were a fan of How to Get Away With Murder, then this show is for you.

What is True Justice: Family Ties about?
Casey (Katherine McNamara), a law school student, is on a mission to prove her brother Marcus (Sam Ashe Arnold) was wrongfully convicted of murdering her friend from college. Casey turns to her classmates Eli (Markian Tarisuk), Sarah (Marisa McIntyre), PJ (Sabrina Saudin) and their P.I. friend Liam (Alexander Nunez) to help find the real killer. With a tip from her Professor (Nikki DeLoach), Casey and her friends begin to put pieces together, but the closer they get to discovering the truth, the more they ALL begin to question their own safety.

Katherine McNamara (Casey Barlowe)
McNamara previously led the cast of Walker: Independence, a spinoff prequel series to Walker on The CW. She has also appeared on Arrow, The Flash, and Shadowhunters.

Markian Tarasiuk (Eli Flint)
Markian Tarasiuk recently starred in UPtv's Mistletoe Connection. He previously starred in Hallmark Channel's Our Italian Christmas Memories and Christmas at the Golden Dragon. He has also appeared in episodes of Family Law, Virgin River and Supernatural.

Alexander Nunez (Liam Anderson)
Marisa McIntyre (Sarah Sharpe)
Sabrina Saudin (PJ Ellis)
Benjamin Ayres (D.A. Quinn)
Best known for his roles as Dr. Zachary Miller on Saving Hope, Ayres starred in Cranberry Christmas and A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas. He has had recurring roles on Suits and Burden of Truth. Ayres stars opposite Alison Sweeney on The Chronicle Mysteries on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Nikki DeLoach (Professor Ambrose)
Nikki DeLoach, who also co-wrote the script for True Justice: Family Ties, has starred in over a dozen films for Hallmark, including the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, Love Takes Flight and the holiday movies A Gift of Peace and Five More Minutes, which is based on a Scotty McCreery song of the same name. She'll appear in the upcoming Miracles of Christmas movie, A World Record Christmas, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. DeLoach has also appeared on episodes of 9-1-1, Mad Men and Grey's Anatomy.
