Halo Top Adds Seven Flavors to Its Non-Dairy Lineup
2017 was certainly the year of Halo Top, the super-light ice cream product that promised us all the flavor and satisfaction of downing a whole pint with a fraction of the calories (and guilt). And if the brand has anything to say about it, 2018 may just be the second year in a streak of best-selling status. To serve the ever-increasing vegetarian and vegan markets, Halo Top announced another seven flavors are joining its already impressive lineup of non-dairy treats.
Rolling out in early February, hungry folks avoiding dairy (or who just aren't picky about their ice cream bases) will have their choice of five classic Halo Top flavors now made with vegan-friendly coconut milk, including Pancakes & Waffles, Birthday Cake, Candy Bar, Chocolate Almond Crunch, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
But in order to give lactose-intolerant/averse shoppers something a little bit special, Halo Top is also releasing two brand new flavors to the entire lineup exclusively in non-dairy form. The first is Toasted Coconut, which is a natural fit for the coconut milk and is flecked with flakes of toasted coconut. The second is Vanilla Maple, featuring a "hint of maple," which the brand says "elevates the iconic vanilla taste to another level."
Back in September, Halo Top launched another collection of seven vegan flavors, which included Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate, Oatmeal Cookie, Sea Salt Caramel, Caramel Macchiato, Cinnamon Roll, and Chocolate Covered Banana. With these 2018 additions, Halo Top will now sport 24 regularly appearing dairy flavors and 14 non-dairy options in freezer cases across the country.
Since its launch in 2012, the ice cream maker has seen rapid growth in the past couple of years ending 2017 as the most popular pint in the country. The brand has been rolling out new flavors at a steady gate, as well, but last year we did our best to try them all and give our two cents.
