Halsey Issues Bold Statement Following Kate Middleton's Cancer Diagnosis

As another well-known subject of the public's ever-watchful eye, Halsey has a scathing message for everyone who drove Kate Middleton to open up about her cancer diagnosis as a result of their never-ending conspiracy theories.

"Hope the people and the media who sensationalized a woman's desire for privacy following a known health incident are experiencing regret and remorse," the "Without Me" singer wrote on their Instagram Stories on March 23, per E! News. "And by the way, that would stand even without the terrible news of her journey."

Halsey, who uses she/they pronouns, has faced a series of their own health setbacks ever since welcoming their first son, Ender, in 2021, and says they "understand when you have a public life certain things like this can get out of hand."

That said, "...it's no one's business why" when "someone needs a break for a few weeks or months."

They also emphasized that anyone who "sign[ed] up for this [public life]" is "subject to change at any moment." They finished, "And the newly changed ‘you' in place (for whatever amount of time; days weeks years) may not have the same stamina or tolerance."

Middleton, of course, has been the subject of ongoing conspiracies, criticism, and personal demands ever since stepping away from her royal duties as a result of abdominal surgery in January. The world collectively came to the conclusion that she was "missing," searching for clues in every post from the royal family and demanding proof of life for the princess, which finally came in the form of a video announcing her latest health update—causing people, including Stephen Colbert and Blake Lively, to retract their previous inputs making light of the situation.
