Getting married is about choosing to spend the rest of your life with that one special person! And planning a wedding is all about doing that, with your favorite people by your side! Bridesmaids are there to help you along the way, and ensure you have the day of your dreams. However, sometimes you can run into issues with your bridesmaids which can lead to a bit of tension in your bridal party. Here's a list of a few possible scenarios, and how to tackle them!

The Dress Debacle Let's face it, choosing one dress for all of your bridesmaids to wear and agree on is not an easy task! Once you decide on something, it can be really frustrating for anyone to voice concerns or flat-out disagree with what you've picked. Most often, a bridesmaid's concern is that a dress or color won't be flattering on them. If it's within your control to adjust to their needs, do it! There's no reason to aggravate the issue if it can be dealt with easily. However, if you've got a girl refusing to wear a dress because it's 'not her style', put your foot down. Let her know that unfortunately, you couldn't accommodate everyone and on this day, this is the dress you need her to wear, and smile for the photos!

The Frugal Fiend It's typically understood that when you sign on to be in someone's wedding, there will be a lot of added costs and events that come along with the privilege. Some bridesmaids may not account for these additional costs of a dress, potential traveling, contributing to showers and bachelorette parties, and wedding gifts on top of everything. Instead of politely declining, they go along with everything but whine or complain at every turn. If this is beginning to rub you the wrong way, consider writing up a list of all the potential costs you foresee your girls spending as a sort of 'budget' and letting her make the call whether she can swing it financially, or not! Just make sure you let her know there are no hard feelings if she decides she can't!

The Bully This one is hopefully rare, but it can happen when one or two of your bridesmaids gang up and bully the others if certain situations aren't going there way. This can occur when trying to plan bridal showers, bachelorette parties or agreeing on gifts and activities. If you find out that one of your bridesmaids is being a bridal bully, pull her aside and let her know it's unacceptable. Remind her that you chose to have her stand by our side on the day because she is important to you, and she needs to remain a source of positivity and joy. Otherwise, you may need to seriously consider rescinding the offer and cutting your losses. After all, there's no room in your squad for a bridesmaid-zilla!
