On Tuesday, June 22, The Moth—the beloved nonprofit storytelling organization—started a new chapter in its own tale, hosting its annual Moth Ball gala in person at Spring Studios in Manhattan. The evening honored actress and director Regina King and filmmaker and writer Kemp Powers, who both received the Moth’s “Storyteller of the Year” award. After a performance hosted by Ophira Eisenberg and featuring Moth storytellers, King and Powers—who worked together on the movie One Night in Miami—accepted their Jonathan Adler-designed prizes in front of a crowd including Bradley Cooper, Jason Collins, Bevy Smith, Catherine Burns, Sarah Haberman, and many more.
