WATCH: Harry Connick Jr. Is Filming His Next Movie in Tampa
It's hard not to fall for Harry Connick Jr. His lulling accent. His sweet demeanor. His winning smile.
Well, it's time to imagine the dapper singer and actor in another light. As Connick Jr. recently announced on the TODAY show alongside Hoda Kotb, he's embracing his scarier side for his next film project.
"I'm about to start shooting this movie. "It's called The Man with Yellow Eyes," he says, joking that he's yet to read the script so he has no clue about the film's name ("It's about a guy with yellow eyes, I'm assuming! I hope so. Should be good!" he quips). "Right before we start shooting in Tampa...I'm taking Jill on a little [25th] anniversary trip. In the area, not in Tampa, which is an amazing place, but we're going to be spending some time in Tampa [as well]. Just the two of us, we haven't done that in a long time," Connick Jr. shares on the show. Watch the full segment below (fast forward to around 10:50 if you'd like to jump to the part about the movie).
Awwww, Harry. Such a romantic anniversary gesture. We hope you and Jill have the best time vacationing without the children and enjoy spending quality time together.
As for that ominous-sounding thriller, filming for that will pick up in the Tampa area later this month. According to Tampa's ABC Action News WFTS-TV, "about 80% of the film will be shot in Tampa and some in St. Petersburg." Currently, there's no official release date for The Man with Yellow Eyes but we need all the time we can get to brace ourselves. Who's ready to clutch to the edge of their seat?
