Harvey Weinstein's Hollywood accusers share reactions to his arrest
After Harvey Weinstein turned himself in to authorities in New York City on Friday, some of his accusers were quick to share their reactions. The movie producer has been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women, though the arrest was related to charges involving two women. Weinstein was charged with “rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse, and sexual misconduct,” according to GMA. He was released on a $1 million cash bail after the arrest, though he does wear a tracking device now and must stay in New York and Connecticut.
While the arrest was about two specific women, many others, including powerful Hollywood figures, have shared their opinions about the arrest. Actress Rose McGowan, who has claimed that Weinstein raped her and reached a settlement with her in 1997, talked about Weinstein’s arrest during an appearance on Megyn Kelly Today. “We got you,” McGowan said on the show, addressing Weinstein. She also said it was a “very good feeling” to see Weinstein in handcuffs.

Weinstein accuser Sarah Ann Masse tweeted that the arrest is “one step in the right direction.”
I'm crying. This is one step in the right direction, there is still a long road ahead, but for every person who has been abused, for those of us who have spoken either publicly or privately to bring these abusers down, this is a victory.

Some of Weinstein’s other high-profile accusers, including Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow, didn’t share public reactions to his arrest.
The criminal sex charge included in Weinstein’s Friday arrest is related to an allegation from Lucia Evans. Evans told the New Yorker that Weinstein made her perform oral sex on him. The second woman involved in the case leading to the charges hasn’t been identified to the public. Weinstein’s attorney, meanwhile, has said that Weinstein will plead not guilty.
