Hear Jason Kelce and Teammates Tackle Mariah Carey's Christmas Classic
Jason Kelce
Is there nothing Jason Kelce can't do?
The center revealed in a special episode of his podcast New Heights, which he hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, that his team is getting ready to put out a Christmas album, having already dropped the first track as a teaser of all that's to come: Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," adding yet another talent to his resume.
But his brother couldn't let him hold onto his shining moment for too long.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end immediately let out a trolling comment as he addressed guest star Jordan Mailata, a former rugby player from Australia who now plays tackle for the Eagles.
“Is it fair to say, Jordan, that you carried the entire Christmas album?” he joked. “You don’t have to be modest here; Dude, you absolutely kill it.”

Mailata modestly disagreed, though, assuring Travis that each member of the team has their own part to play in the album. “I definitely sang on a lot of the songs,” he conceded, as Jason called him “humble” in the background.
“It is a good mesh of Jason singing, Lane [Johnson] singing, and you singing,” Travis agreed. “You get that good stair step of people actually being able to sing,” he described, joking that Jason is at the bottom of the trio’s rankings. “It adds a lot of character.”
Mailata acts as frontman on the Carey classic, with Jason and Johnson providing the background vocals and harmonies, and we'd certainly have never guessed it was a band of offensive linemen if not for the adorable, Peanuts-inspired portraits on the single's cover art.
The full lineup of Christmas hits is yet to be revealed, but the podcasters did tease one additional track, said to feature Jason's "enemy at times," Travis himself.
But, just because he's the enemy doesn't mean he's not still part of the family, so Jason invited him to take part in "Fairytale of Philidelphia"—a play on "Fairytale of New York" that sounds like it's set to be a duet between the NFL brothers.
As Mailata complimented them both on the song, Travis couldn't help to throw one more dig at Jason. "He sounds like Nickelback, right?" (For those not in the know, plenty love Nickelback. They are, however, frequently the butt of the internet's jokes.)
According to Jason, physical copies of the album will be available come Black Friday, with the tracks hitting streaming services on Dec. 1. We can't wait to listen to Travis putting himself on the map this Christmas!
