Without a doubt there's only one place you want to celebrate Halloween and that is Heidi Klum's Halloween party, which she hosts every year in New York city.

Last night, Klum threw her 19th annual star-studded party at New York hot spot Tao, alongside her new boyfriend, Tom Kaulitz (who went as Shrek), and debuted her best costume yet. Stepping out as Shrek's female ogre, Princess Fiona, the star was unrecognisable in a super-sized bodysuit and green ogre-like make-up with ears to match.

Revealing her look on Instagram, it was clear that this was not just a simple transformation; rather, she underwent hours of prosthetics and make-up to create her incredible ogre princess look.

Taking her costume to a new level of hype and intrigue, Klum shares a fun selfie video of her final touch-ups.

In an interview recently with USA Today the model revealed, "You have to feel amazing in your costume... You need to look in the mirror and think, 'wow this is amazing.'"

Her previous showstopping costumes include Michael Jackson's "Thriller" look, Jessica Rabbit, and the year she went as a terribly-convincing old woman. The prevailing question is, what will she go as next year?
