Heidi Montag gets candid about pregnancy struggles: 'I never thought it would be so hard trying to have another'
Heidi Montag is opening up about her struggle to have another child.
The 35-year-old reality television star took to her Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo of herself with her four-year-old son Gunner, writing about how she's "so thankful for my angel," whom she shares with husband Spencer Pratt. But she also revealed that the couple is having difficulty when it comes to expanding their family.
"I never thought it would be so hard trying to have another," she wrote. "I am trusting God’s plan and if we only have one I am so thankful for this miracle!"
The couple welcomed their first child in 2017 and have since shared their hopes of having more. Montag even opened up about the difficult process of trying to conceive on both social media and The Hills: New Beginnings. In August 2021, she documented a hysteroscopic polypectomy procedure to have polyps removed from her uterus in an effort to become pregnant.
"I’m hoping that this surgery works and that this is the only reason I haven’t been able to get pregnant," Montag said in a YouTube video. "So please God, I pray that I will be able to get pregnant after this."
According to her most recent post, Montag continues to have difficulty conceiving. She received support from followers in the comments, including women who thanked her for sharing her journey.
"In the same boat.. thanks for sharing. God is good," one person wrote.
"Miracles do happen. Mine are six years apart. Stay positive," commented another.
