Helena Bonham Carter Is ‘Terrified’ to Join Season 3 of ‘The Crown,’ and Here’s Why

Anyone else going through The Crown withdrawal? Same. While we wait for season three to drop on Netflix, we’ll take literally anything to tide us over. Behold…

We already knew that Helena Bonham Carter would replace Vanessa Kirby in the role of Princess Margaret. But now we know how she’s feeling about the new gig, and it sounds like she’s a bit less excited than we are.

Per a tweet from the show’s official Twitter account, the British actress said, “I’m not sure which I’m more terrified about—doing justice to the real Princess Margaret or following in the shoes of Vanessa Kirby. The only thing I can guarantee is that I’ll be shorter than Vanessa.” Ooh, Helena with the jokes.

Considering Bonham Carter played the Queen Mother in Oscar winner The King’s Speech, we think she’ll be juuust fine, height notwithstanding.

Season three, which will reportedly center on the years 1964 to 1976, is set to air, um, some time in 2019. Until then, just rewatch season two.
