Helldivers 2's Leaked Mech Suits May Be the Answer to Titanfall 3 Believers
Helldivers 2
We knew that Helldivers 2 would get mech suits, but we didn't know just how cool that would look. Now, a new clip going around online has shown what new abilities mechs will bring to the table, and it may be what keeps Titanfall 3 fans satiated till that sequel comes out.
Reddit user fozzye18 shared a clip of them getting into a mech suit and wreaking havoc, for democracy of course. Using the suit, they could shoot rockets and had access to a machine gun. The user got into a lobby with another player who had access to the mech and new weapons and abilities currently unavailable in the game.
Okay, it may not have the fast movement that Titanfall's mechs are known for, but we'll take any help we can get to win the space war against the Automatons.
Reddit user Fozzye18 recorded a clip of themselves using a Mech in Helldivers 2. They say a player in their game had access to new weapons like an energy rpg, a meteorite that hits like the nuke, a group of helldivers you can call in to support you (npcs) and more.… pic.twitter.com/lY18LVOENv

The footage was captured from the PS5 version of the game, and given that Helldivers 2 is an always-online title, it doesn’t seem likely that a PC user hacked or modded those elements. The most likely scenario is that the other player was a developer with access to a future game build, though how they managed to match up in public matchmaking is intriguing.
"This is from a randoms game I joined last night, from what I saw he had access to theirs new weapons like an energy rpg coming, a meteorite that hits like the nuke, a group of helldivers you can call in to support you (npcs) and more," said the Reddit user after sharing the clip.
Arrowhead Game Studios' CEO Johan Pilestedt had previously announced that the team is working on a new roadmap after the game's surprising influx of players. All of these updates will be delivered for free, although you can still invest in getting new items through Warbonds, which are essentially the game's battle pass system. The game recently crossed 450,000 players concurrently, leading to Arrowhead upping the server capacity drastically.
