Helmut Lang’s New Bra HandBag Is Kinda Genius

Updated

Everyone knows that the downside to wearing a cute bra is that — for the most part — you’re the only person who sees it. Helmut Lang is about the change that.

The designer showed what looked like an exaggerated bra top for Spring ’18 runway presentation, but in a true stroke of genius, the bra doubles as a sleek handbag.

In retrospect, some of the models *did* carry the bras in their folded up handbag form, so we should’ve seen this coming.

The convertible bra-style bag, as it’s listed on the brand’s website, features adjustable bra-like straps, as well as an adjustable back strap with “HELMUT” stamped in silver metal. Each “cup” area functions as a zip-up storage compartment.

In case you’d prefer to wear this puppy as an *actual* bra, rest assured that it’s apparently a one size fits all situation, so you can say sayonara to the hassle of getting measured. (Though, to be clear, we don’t anticipate this fashion statement provides any *actual* support.)

As evidenced by fashion trends of runway’s past (hi, Moschino dry cleaning bag dress), even the most interesting fashion statements come at a price. You’ll have to shell out a hefty $655 for the bra bag, which you can snag on the designer’s website.

What do you think of this bra purse? Sound off @BritandCo!
