Here's how to enter the Tulip Time Poster Contest for 2025
HOLLAND — Eager to see your work featured in marketing materials for one of the country's biggest events? Submissions are open for the 2025 Tulip Time Poster Contest.
The annual competition welcomes local artists aged 16 and older to submit their work by Oct. 5. Entrants can submit up to three original, unframed pieces measuring 16 inches by 20 inches for $35.
Submissions should be dropped off at the Tulip Time Offices, including the submission form and fee, at 42 W. Eighth St.
“We love celebrating our local artists,” Holland Arts Council Executive Director Lorma Freestone told The Sentinel. “If you look downtown, there are so many artists that (work in) a variety of mediums. From photography to painting to watercolor in all the galleries, and it's just great to see the local talent and be able to have them take a twist on Tulip Time.”
Michael Burmeister, owner of Button Gallery in Douglas, will judge the contest. He'll select the top 20 pieces, then a champion. The winning piece will become the official 2025 Tulip Time Poster, revealed in February and featured on plenty of merchandise.
The winner will also take home a $1,000 reward, according to tuliptime.com/first-bloem-2025.

The top 20 pieces will be displayed for a People's Choice Award during the festival in May. That winner will take home $500.
Past contest winners include John Cowden, Kristin Doversberger, Carolyn Stich and Kate Moynihan.
Tulip Time 2025 runs May 3-11, 2025.
