  • The Dancing With the Stars 2019 finale has finally aired!

  • Caution because spoilers are obviously ahead.

Usually, the only drama surrounding Dancing With the Stars is whether or not a fan-favorite celebrity with two left feet actually deserves to continue on in the competition, but this season managed to outdo all the rest. With controversial contestants like Sean Spicer on the roster and an early replacement for Christie Brinkley that attracted a lot of heat, this has been an incredibly bumpy season, as Karamo Brown can also attest to based on his ill-advised comments about the former White House press secretary.

But after Sean was finally axed and James Van Der Beek was controversially eliminated, a winner was finally crowned! Here's all the intel you need on who won season 28 of Dancing With the Stars and who made the finals this year.

The Winners: Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten

According to Woman’s Day’s resident DWTS fanatic, Laura Hanrahan, the judges have been way too hard on Hannah, but she has Bachelor Nation on her side and that worked wonders! She and Alan took home that disco-ball-looking trophy.

Second Place: Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson

Kel got the first 10 of the season, and he only got better and better each week. He and Witney just missed joining the DWTS winners' circle, but they really did impress throughout the season.

Third Place: Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber

The former Fifth Harmony singer was riding high on receiving a perfect score dancing to her own song. She may not have taken home the gold trophy, but at the risk of sounding like a total cheeseball, she still truly embodied her “BO$$” banger.

Fourth Place: Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko

Okay, Lauren broke three (3!!!) ribs this season, but she still stayed out on the dance floor doing the damn thing, so kudos to her.
