Here's how New Jersey's culture ranks against other states
With museums, galleries and performance venues in nearly every town, it's no secret that New Jersey is an epicenter of culture.
Turns out, it's the sixth most cultured state in the country, according to student travel company Rustic Pathways.
The company evaluated each U.S. state according to the number of National Historic Landmarks, museums, galleries, performance venues, film sites and literary sites per population and square miles.

New Jersey has 58 National Historic Landmarks and 630 museums and galleries.
The top-ranking states, in order, are Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland and New York.
Nevada is the least-cultured state in the country, according to the survey.
