Here's Who Mark Cuban Wants to Replace Him on 'Shark Tank'
Mark Cuban seems to be making some pretty big moves. On Tuesday, it was reported that the 65-year-old billionaire businessman is planning to sell his majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks, just a day after he revealed that he would be stepping down as a lead investor on Shark Tank.
Rumors are already bubbling about who could replace Cuban on the ABC reality series, and he apparently has one name in mind with quite the pedigree.
TMZ reports that Cuban believes fashion entrepreneur Emma Grede would be "insanely good" as a full-time shark. In addition to already having guest starred on the show before, the 41-year-old is the co-founder of Kim Kardashian's SKIMS shapewear line and Khloé Kardashian's Good American demin brand. Grede likewise co-founded Safely, a brand of plant-based cleaning and self-care products with Kris Jenner and Chrissy Teigen in 2021, so she'd be in good company with the panel.
Cuban first revealed his plans to step down from Shark Tank after 16 seasons on Showtime's All The Smoke podcast. "I just want to have a couple summers with my teens before they go off on their own," Cuban later explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "Nothing to do with the show. I love it. I love being on it. I love what [it] represents and how it motivates entrepreneurs around the world."
However, after the news surfaced that he plans to sell his majority stake in the Mavericks to billionaire heiress Miriam Adelson—he still plans to remain governor of the franchise and head operations—many of speculated that Cuban may finally be making moves on his long-rumored presidential campaign.
In either case, it seems as though Shark Tank would be in good hands with Grede if the gig comes to fruition.
