Alright, we all love the modern Dutton family drama in Yellowstone, yes?
Well how does some 100-year-old Dutton family drama sound? Because that's what the latest Yellowstone prequel, 1923, is offering up, and honestly it looks like it might be even better than the OG series (yup, I said what I said).
In case you're not familiar, 1923 is the second Yellowstone prequel after 1883, which came out a year ago to instant success. Given that, it's really no surprise the franchise is expanding even more. The new 1923 follows the Dutton family in, you guessed it, the year 1923, which means we're gonna get to see how the Duttons (and their gorgeous ranch, which is reason enough to watch the show) fared in the post-WWI, pending-Great Depression period.
And when I tell you the cast is stacked...the cast is STACKED. You've got Harrison freakin' Ford playing Jacob Dutton and Dame Helen Mirren herself taking on the role of Cara Dutton. Anything led by the two of them is bound to be a must-watch. Jerome Flynn (aka Bronn from Game of Thrones) is also on the show, playing a Scotsman named Banner Creighton.
With the first episode of 1923 coming out on December 18, 2022, here's everything you need to know about watching it.
How and where can I watch 1923?
When it comes to watching 1923, there's good and bad news. The good news is you can stream the episodes online whenever's most convenient to you. The (potentially) bad news is that you'll need a Paramount+ subscription to do it. If you don't already have one, it'll cost you $9.99 per month to sign up or $99.99 for the entire year.
Once you do have a subscription, you'll be able to steam new episodes on Sundays beginning December 18. Because of the holidays, you'll have to wait two weeks for the second episode, which is airing January 1, 2023. Honestly, not a bad way to start off the new year!
