From Seventeen

Although the 2020 Billboard Music Awards looked different this year, one thing remained fairly consistent: Taylor Swift had a lot of nominations. The singer, who has won 23 BBMAs in her career, was up for Top Artist, the fan-voted Billboard Chart Achievement Award, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, and Top Billboard 200 Album (Lover). Taylor had the chance to make history had she won in multiple categories, but regardless, like many other stars, she wasn't there.

You might be asking yourself, how do you have six nominations for an award ceremony and not show up? Well, my friends, need I remind you that it's 2020 and no one really shows up anywhere for anything anymore. Since the show was modified due to the coronavirus, only winners accepted their awards in person and not all categories were announced. Basically, the stars that were in attendance either had a performance or were accepting an award.

I personally missed seeing Taylor on my television screen, so I'd like to throw it back to happier times at the 2019 BBMAS, when she wore this colorful bedazzled ensemble while performing. Look at the pure joy on her face.
