SPOILER ALERT: Major spoilers for season 3 of 13 Reasons Why below!

Tony Padilla has had a tough year at Liberty High and it looks like things might get even worse when 13 Reasons Why returns for a fourth season.

Season 3 featured a lot of twists and turns for all the characters, but Tony definitely went through it more than most throughout the season. After his family was deported due to an ICE raid in his home sparked by Bryce's dad's anger at him for testifying against him in season 2, Tony was left all alone and had to find a way to provide for his family who now lived in Mexico.

Tony was also a part of the group of kids who volunteered to take care of Tyler and he managed to get rid of Tyler's guns after he tried to start a school shooting during the big dance.

While it seemed like Tony would be a likely suspect to go after Bryce, it was revealed that Tony was actually laundering money through the Mexican cartel in order to send it back home after selling the garage. He also has his car back, but only after his boyfriend, Caleb, got it back for him from Bryce's house.

But even with all those things happening to Tony throughout the season, there is one big reason why Tony might end up in jail in season four.

At the end of the season, a fisherman ends up finding the guns that Tony and Clay got rid of for Tyler at the end of season 2. If his fingerprints are still on the guns, it seems like things won't be going so well for Tony, who already has had several strikes against him under the eyes of the law.

Hopefully, the group can find a way to get themselves out of this one. But we can already tell that the police don't like Tony, so this might be a tough situation that he might not be able to get out of.
