HGTV Star Reveals Health Issues Caused by Years of Home Renovation
She blames 'all the gross houses' for making her sick.
Christina Hall (née Haack) recently opened up on social media about some unexplained health issues she had been having.
Today, the former Flip or Flop star offered fans an update, revealing in her Instagram stories that she learned she's been suffering from lead and mercury poisoning after undergoing further testing.
Hall, 39, explained that while seeking treatment at WAM, an alternative wellness and medicine facility in Newport Beach, California, she discovered “energetic imbalances” that she attributed to her years performing renovations in moldy homes, writing in her Instagram Story, “My scan said I have mercury and lead poisoning, most likely from all the gross houses I’ve been in (all the bad flips).”
According to experts, likely sources of lead exposure include homes built before lead paint was banned in 1978, certain water pipes, stain glass work, and other environmental factors. Symptoms of lead poisoning are reportedly wide-ranging but include abdominal pain, headaches, and difficulty concentrating.
High mercury exposure, however, can also cause neurological symptoms and is most likely to occur in those eating fish and shellfish that contain higher levels of the metallic, according to the EPA.
With WAM’s Quantum Biofeedback machine that detects ailments using the “body’s electric reactivity patterns,” Hall said the practitioners also found “small intestine bacteria overgrowth.”
Her plan to tackle it? "First detoxing all of this through herbs and IVs," noting that, "[We'll] see how I feel and tackle implants.”
Before her visit at WAM, the Christina on the Coast star was one of the latest celebs to blame her breast implants for causing her health issues.
In a recent video she shared on Instagram, Hall wrote: "Been super exhausted lately so on a kick to get back into my body. I’ve had some unexplained health stuff for years and now I’m considering the thought that this could be Breast implant related. Does anyone else have any experience with this subject? I’m curious on all the ladies take on this."
She also explained that some of the symptoms she was struggling with included "Inflammation, autoimmune issues (Hashimoto's disease, PCOS, Raynaud’s syndrome), unexplained skin rashes, joint and muscle pain, dry eyes, GI issues, SIBO, acid reflux, brain fog, hormone imbalances, swollen lymph nodes and adrenal fatigue."
While many fans affirmed the HGTV star's experience in the comments, citing anecdotes of their health issues improving after removing implants, there may be other factors for Hall to consider.
Here's hoping her health issues resolve soon!
