This high school dance squad is going viral for its fabulous entrance
Just two weeks after their school was being used as a temporary shelter for victims of Hurricane Irma, the Miami Northwestern Senior High dancers are back on the football field and going viral.
Accompanied by the school’s marching band, the MNW dancers made an epic stadium entrance on Friday’s game night. Sashaying in with sequin bags, while wearing fishnets, cut-out bodysuits, and knee-high boots, the teens fanned themselves all the way to the sidelines.

Unfortunately, the haters are currently clogging up their coach Traci Young-Byron’s Instagram feed with negativity and slut-shaming. Commenters are hating on the girls’ outfits — but it hasn’t phased the team. Plenty of supporters are also chiming in to cheer on the team’s creativity and talent. “The technique is there, always a pleasure seeing these performances … amazing job ladies,” wrote @theyluvesh on Instagram. “On point black girl magic ?,” commented another fan. Another supporter who goes by pinapple_cooper shut it down. “I love what you have done with these young ladies and confidence they have embodied ?? I live for y’all,” she wrote. “And if anybody thinks there inappropriately dressed or have any ‘oversexed’ comment to make about these women, they have some self checking to do and some prayer that needs to be received. This is what you wear when you do that. #Goodjobladies #BlackgirlsRock.”
Coach Young herself shared her thoughts about all the attention, both positive and negative, in a post shared with Instagram.

“This has been an eventful weekend to say the least and I’m sure it will continue but I’m so grateful for all the positive encouragement/support shown thus far,” Young wrote. She went on to thank everyone from parents to co-workers to followers for voicing their support. “It was no easy task but you stood up and made your voices heard. Your support of my young ladies and I [is] very much appreciated!”

Young also shared photos of the team on Monday morning before class. “Beautiful on and off the field,” she wrote.
