High school investigating after Google profile hacked, name changed to 'Gay Night Club for Teens'
The school year is only a few months in, but it seems like senior pranks are already kicking off in Morrow, Ohio. On Thursday, Little Miami High School’s profile on Google was allegedly hacked and the name changed to “Gay Night Club for Teens.”
The school was made aware of the change early on Thursday morning, according to Melinda Briggs, director of communications for Little Miami Local Schools, and the name has since been changed back.
The district announced on its Facebook page, “Our high school administration has conducted an investigation. It appears that this activity occurred using the school network, which is traceable. When the student or students who are responsible are identified, they could face disciplinary action for violating our acceptable use policy.”
Despite facing possible disciplinary action, whoever was behind the prank has a number of fans on social media.
One person commented on the Facebook post, “Epic prank. This kid is going places. Smart and funny.” Another wrote, “I wish I had done this when I was in high school.”
In screenshots provided to Yahoo Lifestyle, it appears that other students joined in on the fun by commenting on the quality of said Gay Night Club.
Melinda Briggs and the principal of the high school, Catherine Trevathan, did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment.
