Hilary Swank Announces Birth of Twins in Heartwarming First Picture: 'Pure Heaven'
The actress confirmed childbirth 'wasn't easy,' but 'worth it.'
Hilary Swank has welcomed her fraternal twin babies into the world!
The Million Dollar Baby star took to Instagram on April 9 to share the exciting news that she had given birth with a sweet post on the spring holiday.
"It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. ?????????? Happy Easter! ???? Posting from pure Heaven. ????," she captioned the single snap taken from behind. The image depicted the 48-year-old actress in full new mom form, sporting a robe and holding the newborns close to her chest as she looked out at the water over a picturesque balcony at sunrise.

Fans and famous friends alike hopped into the comments to send congratulatory wishes her way on the arrival of her two new bundles of joy.
"Welcome home angels??," Mariska Hargitay said, as Katie Couric wrote, "So happy for you Hilary!!! What a gift…or gifts. ??"

One follower shared her own similar experience and offered a few words of advice to the star as she embarks on this new adventure of motherhood: "As a fellow twin mom (mine are now 14!), the best thing you can do is sleep when they sleep! Don’t feel guilty about it. Also, don’t feel like you have to do everything yourself! That’s how I felt and I burned myself out. Congratulations!!! I know the days long but the years are so short."
The Alaska Daily actress first divulged she was expecting children with husband Philip Schneider during an appearance on Good Morning America on Oct. 5, 2022. "This is something that I've been wanting for a long time," she said at the time.
Just about a week ago, Swank enlisted help from fans with curating her labor and delivery playlist, so we're glad to see she and babies are safe and healthy post-birth!
